The oh-so-proud boys of Nickelback are hittin’ up Canadian cities big and small on their upcoming tour to promote The Long Road. Besides the astounding 22 dates in the Great White North, they’ve added an extra special treat for their fans. Two backstage passes for each show — which include a meet-and-greet with the band, as well as the novelty of being their special VIP guest — will be auctioned off on eBay Canada beginning January 1, 2004. Being the generous lot they are, all of the auction’s proceeds will be donated to the International Children’s Awareness Canada. ICA is program that promotes health and education among youth in Romania, Africa and the Philippines. In other Nickelback news, the band has just been nominated for the Grammy Awards.
