Cake and Ben Folds are teaming up for a co-headlining tour this August, with Tall Heights serving as special guest. The 10-date trek is slated to commence on August 13 in Boston and conclude on August 25 in Indianapolis. Speaking about the tour, Folds said “Cake make universal, poetic, identifiable music with a groove” and added ‘”I’ve learned a lot from these guys and I’m proud as punch to be on tour with them this summer.” Cake singer John McCrea said the band is looking forward to touring with Ben Folds. Showroom of Compassion, released in 2011, was the most recent studio effort from Cake, while Folds released So There in 2015.
