Atlanta solo artist Butch Walker will release his first ever live DVD, entitled ‘Live at Budokan’ recorded on his 2005 Japan tour. In addition, Walker plans to release two albums next year, one solo record and one with a full band. The DVD will feature Walker’s live performance at Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan, as well as backstage footage. In addition, the DVD will feature live footage from an acoustic show Walker played in 2003 at the Variety Playhouse Theatre in Atlanta. The concert was released as a live CD titled “This is Me… Justified and Stripped” and released with Walker’s 2004 release “Letters” as a bonus disc. Fans who have enjoyed the live CD, can now see the footage from that show on this new DVD. The DVD will be in stores December 13th, or you can pre-order your copy here. 2006 looks to be a big year for Walker, as he plans to release two albums, possibly simultaneously. Walker plans to release a solo record in the vein of his previous release “Letters” and a new record with a full band, under a new band name. This will mark the first time Walker has recorded an album under a band name since his days with the Marvelous 3, with their last release “ReadSexGo”, thought by many to be one of the most underrated albums of the last 10 years.
