The members of Blink 182 confirmed their rumors of a reunion at Sunday’s Grammy Awards when they officially announced they were back together. All three members of the band came out on stage together, to present the nominees for Best Rock Album of 2009. Prior to annoucing the nominees, drummer Travis Barker put the rumors to rest with a quick statement saying simply- “We used to play music together, and we decided we’re going to play music together again.” Watch The Video courtesy of YouTube: Following the bands appearance at the Grammys, they released a statement saying: “This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.” The new album and tour will mark the first time the members of Blink 182 will play together in over 5 years.
