Tom Morello has confirmed that unreleased music from Audioslave will be released at some point in the future.

Tom Morello has confirmed that unreleased music from Audioslave will be released at some point in the future. “The question is: ‘Is there a lot of unreleased Audioslave material?’ There’s not a lot, but there is unreleased Audioslave material which is pretty great and it will come out at some point,” Morello said in an interview with Kerrang! However, the guitarist warned, “I don’t know when.” Kerrang then asked Morello about the single “Sleight of Hand,” which is considered one of the rarest tracks by the band. The group had played the song live but the track has never been a part of an album. “It was gonna to be the first single for Revelations, but then Timmy [Commerford] really hated it because he thought it sounded like a Danzig song, which is weird. And then he yelled, ‘F**k you!’ a lot to the head of the label. And next thing you know we just said, ‘Let’s not put it on the record because we’re about to get dropped.'” “That one will see the light of day,” he says. “There’s some other jams too, there’s some real good jams, but there’s no plans for that.” Audioslave, which was formed in 2001, consisted of the core members of Rage Against the Machine and Chris Cornell. The band had reunited in January last year after breaking up in 2007 for a one-off show. However, hopes of new music from band ended with the death of Cornell in May 2017.
