Arcade Fire paid tribute to late singer Dolores O’Riordan with a brief performance of the Cranberries 1993 single “Linger” at their Dublin show Friday night. It was a touching tribute to the Cranberries lead singer, who died in January at the age of 46. An inquest into her death in a London hotel room has been rescheduled. The Irish singer fronted the band from 1990 to 2003, and was a part of their later reunion in 2009. Arcade Fire covered the track in the home country of the Cranberries, where the Canadian band is currently on their Infinite Content tour in support of their 2017 album Everything Now. The UK and Ireland leg of the trek will reportedly extend to July in America. The surviving members of Cranberries announced they would bring out the special 25th anniversary edition album of 1993’s Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We? later this year.
