Amber Run have released “The Darkness Has a Voice,” the band’s fourth single from their forthcoming album, Philophobia. “Our new record is all about connection,” front man Joe Keogh explains of Philophobia. “But one of the most important relationships that is forever forgotten is the constant dialogue we have with ourselves about ourselves. We would never be as unkind to the people around us, as we are to ourselves. ‘The Darkness Has a Voice’ is about that internal conversation.” The Darkness Has a Voice,” is the latest track from Philophobia to tackle the concept of human connection. Throughout the album’s 11-song, soul-searching examination of “the fear of falling in love,” Amber Run uses their visceral yet philosophical songwriting to highlight that whether it be platonic, romantic, unrequited, unconditional, or ugly, every person will experience some degree of love within their lifetime.
