AFI have entered The Billboard 200 at No. 5 with AFI (The Blood Album) (Concord), their highest-charting debut since 2006’s “Decemberunderground”. It’s the band’s second consecutive Top 10 Billboard debut following 2013’s Burials. AFI (The Blood Album) is available on iTunes and Amazon. The chart bow follows a busy few weeks for the band, which included the Stereogum premiere of “Get Hurt” (which was also spotlighted on “Best of the Week with Zane Lowe” on Beats 1), Pitchfork’s debut of the “Snow Cats” video and the Rolling Stone launch of “White Offerings.” In between, AFI performed at KROQ’s star-studded Almost Acoustic Christmas show, where they delivered what Billboard called “arguably the strongest set of the night.” They tore through “Snow Cats” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and had hundreds of fans turn up for their special in-store performance at Amoeba Records in Hollywood. They released their album last Friday and celebrated by kicking off their headlining tour (“The Blood Tour”) of North America with a sold-out show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. Alternative Press and Q gave AFI (The Blood Album) 4 stars each, AV Club said it sounded like the band are “as fired up now as they were 25 years ago,” People magazine made it a Pick of the Week, Kerrang called it a “serious contender” for the Best Albums of 2017 list, The 405 praised it as “their strongest album in a decade” and ABC News gave it 3.5 stars and described it as “a dynamic record that should please both old and new fans of the band.” Don’t miss your chance to catch them live –tour dates are as follows: DATE MARKET VENUE Monday, January 30, 2017 Minneapolis, MN First Avenue* Tuesday, January 31, 2017 Chicago, IL Riviera Theater* Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Toronto, ON Danforth Music Hall* Friday, February 3, 2017 New York, NY Terminal 5 Saturday, February 4, 2017 Boston, MA Paradise Rock Club** Monday, February 6, 2017 Philadelphia, PA Union Transfer** Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Washington DC 9:30 Club** Wednesday, February 8, 2017 Baltimore, MD Rams Head Live Friday, February 10, 2017 Orlando, FL The Plaza Live** Saturday, February 11, 2017 Atlanta, GA Buckhead Theatre** Monday, February 13, 2017 Houston, TX White Oak Music Hall Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Austin, TX Emo’s** Wednesday, February 15, 2017 Dallas, TX South Side Music Hall** Friday, February 17, 2017 Tempe, AZ The Marquee** Saturday, February 18, 2017 Las Vegas, NV The Joint** Monday, February 20, 2017 San Diego, CA Observatory North Park** Tuesday, February 21, 2017 San Diego, CA Observatory North Park** Wednesday, February 22, 2017 San Diego, CA Observatory North Park** Friday, February 24, 2017 Los Angeles, CA The Wiltern** Saturday, February 25, 2017 Los Angeles, CA The Wiltern** Friday, May 5, 2017 London, UK Alexandra Palace w/ Deftones Saturday, May 6, 2017 Manchester, UK O2 Apollo w/Deftones Sunday, May 7, 2017 Glasgow, UK SECC w/Deftones Sunday, June 4, 2017 Cincinnati, OH Bunbury Music Festival Saturday, June 10, 2017 Derby, UK Download Festival Friday, June 16, 2017 Dover, NE Firefly Music Festival *Featuring special guest Chain Gang of 1974 **Feature special guest Nothing All shows feature Souvenirs as the opener
