At a show in Oklahoma City, Lewis dropped a hint that Staind would be returning in 2020.

Credit to https://alt1053.radio.com: Aaron Lewis and Staind went on hiatus in 2014 after the band suffered through a couple of lackluster years following the release of their self-titled album in 2011. That said, the band labeled things as the ‘on hiatus’ status so they could eventually come back. That’s what the Staind frontman said during a recent solo acoustic show in Oklahoma City. “So what if I told you that Staind is coming back next year?” said Lewis. Following an uproar of applause, he followed up with “I might be lying, but I might not. There might even be five shows this year. I can’t say for sure. You never know.” Lewis also left the stage early when the crowd refused to be quiet during his final song. Lewis told the show to, “shut the f**k up” as he strummed away at his guitar. Staind had been on hiatus since 2014, but Lewis has been releasing solo music in the country genre since 2011. He released his third solo album called Sinner in 2016.
