The Indie Song of the Day comes from The North and Wells Band. They’re a four-piece from Chicago featuring 12:12, John Love, Jake Stopar, and Sam Roth. The band was formed at The Second City theatre in Chicago where they were all working as night staff employees (cooks, dishwashers, hosts.) They even got their name from The Second City – it’s located at the corner of North and Wells. North and Wells thinks of themselves as a mix between soul, blues, and modern rock. Their new song is called “Kosher” – it’s a groovy track about how life isn’t always great, but there are always great moments coming and going.
