The Indie Song of the Day comes from The Beautiful Swedes, a retro-pop duo from… well, they’re from Sweden (makes sense.) Their music has a retro pop/modern folk feel to it but it’s generally uplifting. They’re a little bit like The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel meets Mumford & Sons and Ed Sheeran. The Beautiful Swedes have been writing music together since they were 10 and they’ve played in lots of different projects/bands together over the years and they’ve done extensive touring throughout Europe and the U.S. They’ve played Tiny Desk, Bannaroo, the Swedish Grammy Awards The O2 Arena, and more. Now, they’re playing their own music for the masses and their debut song is “Leave on a Sunday.”
