The Indie Song of the Day comes from Seth Anderson, the song we’re featuring is called “Highway Lights” and it’s the first single from his upcoming album, We Could Be that’s due out on 2/25/2020.
Seth says that the song is a reminder to take life’s challenges and struggles in stride, and to stay true to course.
“I found inspiration for the song while talking with a friend whose passion is surfing and travelling the world. With my love for touring and playing music, we share a fairly transient personality type. We discussed how burning out can be inevitable when you are stretching your capacities and living outside of your comfort zone. The two of us agreed that it is important to take a break and return to stability now and then in order to refocus and recharge before we get out and push ourselves again.”
The song and the rest of Seth’s upcoming album was recorded with Eamon McGrath in Toronto with a big focus on the DIY approach to recording.
