The Indie Song of the Day comes from Hills X Hills a collaboration between Sleeperstar’s Nick Box and NIGHT TRAVELER’s Adam Fischer. The song we’re featuring is currently being featured on the Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon 3 trailer. It’s a cover of Tom Petty’s “Learning to Fly” with a cinematic feel to it and a very dramatic arrangement. The vocal on the song is perfect, as is the production. So far, the cover is the only thing that Hills X Hills has released, but we can’t wait to see what else they come up with.
