The Indie Song of the Day comes from an artist we’ve featured before – Bond Villain. The song is called “What’s Wrong With Me.”
Bond Villain, from New Haven, Connecticut is led by Robert Roche. Roche uses his experience from his previous bands – hardcore bands mostly – and uses them to implement an intensity in Bond Villain’s music. That intensity mashes up into something unique with the genre-bouncing instrumentals that Bond Villain comes up with. The cool sounds paired with Roche’s unique vocal make for something special.
In a previous interview with Roche talked a bit about the band’s name and how it fit’s the music that he’s trying to create with Bond Villain:
Every track is designed to make you feel like you are the star of your favorite movie. I want to have a name that reflects that image. We all know what a Bond Villain is – dark yet colorful, dangerous yet beautiful, campy yet dangerous. I work hard to evoke these feelings in my listeners.
