3 Doors Down will play a special concert in Detroit the night before Super Bowl XL is held. The concert will take place in the historic Tiger Stadium, and is one of only two shows the band is scheduled to play so far this year. The show will be part of the Budwieser sponsored Bud Bowl 2006 event, and will be held at a special venue erected in the infield of historic Tiger Stadium. The stadium has been completely vacant since since the Detroit Tigers’ last game there on September 27, 1999. The doors will be opened once again as “Club 1620,” a 30,000-square-foot climate controlled enclosure, will be erected inside the stadium. Rapper Snoop Dogg will perform inside Club 1620 on Feb. 3 and followed by 3 Doors Down performance on Feb. 4th. Tickets will be distributed by local radio stations and via giveaways in bars and restaurants and will not be available at the venue. Fans must be 21 or over to attend. Super Bowl XL scheduled for Feb. 5th at Ford Field in Detroit and broadcast on CBS will feature Stevie Wonder and the Rolling Stones at halftime.
