Stone Sour/Slipknot lead singer Corey Taylor says he's undecided about recording another Slipknot album, meanwhile he says Stone Sour are planning a live DVD release for later this year.
Corey Taylor says he is undecided regarding the prospect of making a new Slipknot LP. The frontman spoke of his ambivalence to fans in a web chat while promoting his new book, Seven Deadly Sins. “I feel better about [making a new album], but I’m still kind of on the fence. We’re taking baby steps and we’re going to take our time.” The group just finished a mini European tour, which included a set at the Sonisphere fest. The show was the band’s first since the death of bassist Paul Grey. Taylor said the experience, which included a two-minute moment of silence, was special: “I did enjoy the show. The whole tour has been great. Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who participated in the two minutes of silence for Paulie; he would have been so proud.” Meanwhile, Taylor’s other band, Stone Sour are planning a DVD release of their 2010 performance in Brighton, UK this fall. It’s also rumored that an EP of cover tracks could also be released later this year.
