Morning Report, the highly-anticipated fourth studio album from 4X JUNO Award-winners Arkells is out now via Last Gang Records. Following a string of festival performances this summer including Bonnaroo, Firefly Music Festival, Pemberton Music Festival, WayHome Music and Arts Festival, Rock The Shores and Lollapalooza, the new music that the gold-selling band teased on stage is now officially available to fans. Produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, My Morning Jacket), Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83), Brian West (Sia, AWOLNATION), and Gus van Go (The Stills, Wintersleep). This is the band’s fourth album and first on Last Gang Records for the U.S. The record showcases the intuitive interaction between frontman Max Kerman and Mike DeAngelis’ intertwining guitars, Nick Dika’s urgent basslines, Anthony Carone’s dulcet keys, and Tim Oxford’s lockstep drumming. Earlier this month the band released their latest single “Drake’s Dad” taking the internet by storm with coverage in Pitchfork to Billboard to The FADER.
A high-energy remix of Arkells single “Private School” (Robert DeLong Remix) is out now on Earmilk. The band is excited to premiere a track with electronic musician, Robert Delong after sharing the bill at Firefly, Pemberton and WayHome Music Festival this summer. The “Private School” (Robert Delong Remix) reflects the Arkells’ sultry, alternative rock personality and the independent synth expertise of Robert Delong, which has made for a great collaboration. The track is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and SoundCloud.
This fall, Arkells will hit the road with English folk troubadour Frank Turner join them on their upcoming US tour dates, and their two, SOLD OUT headlining shows at Massey Hall in Toronto.
