Three previously unreleased tracks by Nirvana are streaming on local radio in the band’s hometown of Seattle, Washington. The tracks, which are featured on the forthcoming reissue of the Nirvana box set commemorating the album Nevermind’s 20th anniversary, include “Breed” (Smart Studios Version, recorded at Butch Vig’s studio and including alternate lyrics), “On a Plain” (Boombox Demo Version), and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” (Live from the Paramount, in Seattle). The box set is available for pre-order online and includes four CDs and one DVD (which includes an entire unreleased show). The materials include various BBC radio appearances (recorded between 1989 and 1991 in sessions for John Peel and Mark Goodier), B-sides (including “Even in His Youth,” “Curmudgeon,” “D-7” (live at the BBC), and live versions of “Been a Son,” “School,” “Drain You,” “Sliver,” and “Polly”). The set also brings together the videos for the singles “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come As You Are,” “Lithium,” and “In Bloom.” Copyright(c) 2011 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
