Pearl Jam has announced plans to reissue a trio of albums, Binaural, Riot Act and Avocado, the band’s self-titled eighth studio album, on vinyl for the first time.
Avocado will be remixed by producer Brendan O’Brien. In addition, Pearl Jam will also reissue a number of seven-inch vinyl singles and is making the vinyl editions of all ten of its studio albums available in one complete box set.
Bassist Jeff Ament told The Pulse Of Radio that reissues and special editions are an interesting way to look at the past. “It’s really good because I think that there’s so much going on at the time that you forget so many things,” he said. “And when people start pulling out pictures and footage from things, it’s a trip to realize that large aspects of your life are fully documented.”
The new vinyl reissues will be released on November 10.
