George Ezra has scored his first ever number one hit on the UK charts with “Shotgun,” which appears on the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman (Atlantic/Warner). Billboard reports that “Shotgun” entered the Official Charts Company’s singles survey at No. 35 in early April, spending the next eight weeks outside the top 40 before climbing 20-8-4-2. It finished the chart week 6,500 combined units ahead of last week’s No. 1, Clean Bandit’s “Solo” (Atlantic/Warner Music), featuring Demi Lovato, which moves back to No. 2. “Shotgun” is Ezra’s fourth top 10 hit, following “Paradise” as well as two tracks from his debut full-length, “Budapest” and “Blame it on Me.” “Shotgun” is taken off of Ezra’s most recent album Staying at Tamara’s, which debuted at No. 1across the pond back in April.
