Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett is set to open his second live music venue in London early next year.
The venue, called Lafayette @ Goods Way, which will be situated in London’s King Cross, is currently scheduled to open in February.
Lovett, who previously opened his live music venue Omeara @ Flat Irons Square in 2016, aims to revitalize London’s live music scene following the closure of several venues around the city.
“I’m forever committed to pushing forward a new era of music venues that truly elevate people’s expectations of what that experience should be, and I believe London ought to continually strive to be at the forefront of the entertainment industry on a global stage, as the best city in the world,” Lovett said in a press release.
He added, “I have had some of my favourite and most memorable experiences in Omeara since it opened back in late 2016, and I truly believe that the experience it has provided both fans and artists is something so important to London’s venue landscape.”
Lafayette, which will be larger than Lovett’s 350-capacity first venue, will host live music performances in addition to club nights and “bespoke one-off events.”
Lovett’s music company Communion, which looks after Omeara’s bookings, will be handling the new venue’s bookings as well.
