Noel Gallagher joined U2 onstage for a performance of “Don’t Look Back In Anger” as they kicked off the European leg of their Joshua Tree 2017 tour in London.
“Can we bring Noel Gallagher onstage? The kid’s a star, a rock n roll star. Thank you for bringing your High Flying Birds with us. May you take us somewhere else, somewhere only you can,” Bono told Gallagher before the performance. Gallagher’s group is opening for U2 throughout the European leg of their tour.
Gallagher took the lead for “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” with Bono pitching in during the chorus. As the track finished, Gallagher dedicated the song to ‘the people of Manchester, Grenfell Tower, London Bridge.’
The European leg of the Joshua Tree 2017 tour concludes August 1st.
