“Home is the best piece of work we’ve ever done,” says Justin Furstenfeld, the creative force behind Blue October.
Home debuted at #5 this week on the Billboard Top Current Album Chart (behind Beyoncé and Prince), #1 on the Billboard Alternative Chart and #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart. “I can’t believe it,” he adds. “I am freaking out right now.”
Home was written while driving through desert in California and his home state of Texas. A reflection on his four years of sobriety, “Home is welcoming the joy and sheer intensity of just…being alive,” says Justin. “The whole album is a reflection on noticing the small miracles around you every day, and doing what you can with the time you’re given on this earth.”
Blue October will be touring the US this spring an summer.
