John Nolan, best known as guitarist and songwriter for Taking Back Sunday as well as lead singer of the band Straylight Run, is planning to release his debut solo album entitled Height on October 27. Between recent Straylight Run tours of the U.S. and Australia, Nolan began directing his musical ideas and stockpiled personal recordings toward an emerging solo project. Recorded over a six-month period at his home in Lawrence, Kansas, the songs on Height are said to reveal a strong dedication to the songwriting craft, showcasing the same musical instincts that led to the success of Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run. The album was produced by Mike Sapone, who has worked previously with Nolan on both Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run albums.
