In an unexpected, yet entirely glorious turn of events, Bring Me The Horizon dressed up as the 1990s all-girl pop group the Spice Girls at the 40th edition of the BRIT Awards last Tuesday night.
The band paid their tributes to the power group by choosing to wear extremely similar outfits to the latter’s 1997 performance at the BRITS; “Girl Power,” they captioned a side-by-side comparison photo of the two groups wearing the outfits.
BMTH also got the chance to pose for a picture with the one and only Melanie C, a.k.a Sporty Spice, which they later tweeted with the caption “we’re all a bunch of wannabes.”
When asked about new music, lead vocalist Oli Sykes shared that they are currently working on a brand-new album.
“Yeah we’ve gone straight back into writing to be honest,” Sykes said in an interview with NME. “We’ve just been in Amsterdam for a couple of weeks. Just writing.”
“Then we’re gonna start like, literally, going to give ourselves maybe a day to record more and then we’re gonna get straight into it,” he added. “We’re planning on having music pretty soon to be honest.”
