Jack White has announced a new children’s book, We’re Going To Be Friends, which will be out later this year. The title of the book is inspired by a White Stripes song. We’re Going To Be Friends chronicles the adventures of Suzy Lee and her friend. Pitchfork reports that the book will come with a download of “We’re Going To Be Friends” as well as cover versions by Woodstation Elementary School Singers and April March, aka animator Elinor Blake, who illustrated the book. “With the help of illustrator Elinor Blake (aka April March), the perennial favorite feels right at home on the page as a children’s book,” the Third Man Records website says. “Coming this November, children, adults, and you, too, can join Suzy Lee as she goes to school with her books and pens, looks for bugs, shows and tells, and finds a friend.” We’re Going To Be Friends will be available from November 7 via Third Man Books.
