While the album still does not have an official release date, The Goo Goo Dolls have unveiled plans for a spring tour in support of their upcoming new album “Something For The Rest Of Us.” The album, which according to Goo’s bassist Robby Takac was complete in the Fall, now is slated for a spring release to give the band time to “polish the record up.” As for the sound of the new record, Takac says: “It’s the next Goo Goo Dolls record, I guess,” during an interview with Billboard. “I’d like to think we’ve extended our arms in as many different directions as we can.” A first single from the album is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
