Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme has revealed that he will shoulder some of the writing responsibilities for the band’s forthcoming album. During a recent interview with England’s The Sun, Wolstenholme said he’s got mixed feelings about taking over for frontman Matt Bellamy. “Matt’s raised the bar quite high in terms of song-writing,” he told the paper. “I’m a bit nervous because I don’t want to write a song and have it be responsible for the demise of the band.” Chris says that the door has always been open for him to write songs, saying “if there’s stuff that’s good enough, it would always be considered.” That said, all of the songs on the band’s first four records were written by Bellamy. Wolstenholme also commented on the band’s plan to record the album in London. “We’re all kind of living in London now,” he said. “It will be the first time in 12 years that we’ve all been in the same place!” Thus far, however, he says that they have “not got together as a band yet to actually put an album together.”
