The Indie Song of the Day for today comes from a band that started in Michigan and has now made it’s way out to New York. They’re called Been Stellar and they take cues from some of the rock music that came out in the 2000s – artists like The Strokes and Interpol.
The band is led up by Sam Slocum on vocals and Skyler Knapp on lead guitar. Then, they have two different lineups – a lineup in their home state of Michigan that includes Miles Caminier, Dominic Gould, and Michael Lynch – and a lineup in New York City that includes Nando Dale, Laila Wayans, and Nico Brunstein.
The band just released a new single called “Midwestern Holiday” and it shows the band raw potential to do something great. Listen to the song below and be sure to be on the lookout for more from Been Stellar in the future.
