The Indie Song of the Day comes from Ontario band Silvertone Hills. The band’s sound is influenced by pop-rock greats of the late 60’s while adding in some extra aggression and sonic textures akin to indie and alternative artists.
The band’s new single “Reaction” was recorded with producer Ross Citrullo at RHC Music in Toronto. They say that the song is about staying true to yourself and how no one can take away the feeling of doing something you love.
The band says this about the song: “It’s built around a strong intro riff, which drives the song from a moody, secluded verse into the chorus. The central theme to the track plays on the us-against-the-world mentality that you feel when your choices go against what’s considered morally righteous.”
