Eddie Vedder performed “Out of Sand” at the Bang Bang Bar on Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival. The rare track has only been performed a number of times throughout the years.
Introduced as Edward Louis Severson, his birth name, Vedder took to the stage with an acoustic guitar and fedora to play the rarely performed track. The performance also featured a cameo by actress Sherilyn Fenn, who portrays Audrey Horne in the original series and the revival.
“Now it’s gone / And I am who I am / Who I could have been, I will never have the chance / Running out of sand,” Vedder sings.
In addition to Vedder, Twin Peaks has also hosted performances from a number of artists, including, Nine Inch Nails, Chromatics, Au Revoir Simone, the Cactus Blossoms, and more.
