Emo posterboys My Chemical Romance are likely catching an extra bad case of the sads today: the band’s guitarist, Frank Iero, has quit their Japanese tour. A spokesperson for the band cryptically told MTV that Iero was forced to return to the U.S. yesterday (Jan. 11) due to “a sudden attack of illness.” The source and severity of the guitarist’s condition was not released. The guyliner-loving band was in Tokyo launching a four-gig tour, that’s set to run through Jan. 14 before they head to New Zealand and Australia. The band has called up Drive By axe-slinger Todd Prince to fill in for Iero. Iero, 25, is the youngest member of My Chemical Romance.
