In a recent interview with London's ITN News, Staind Lead singer Aaron Lewis admitted that he finds himself listening to his kids favorite radio stations frequently.
If the rumors that Staind has gone soft weren’t already flying, this one will defintately add fuel to the fire. In a recent interview with London’s ITN News, Staind Lead singer Aaron Lewis admitted that he finds himself listening to his kids favorite radio stations rather frequently. “I tend to be listening to Miley Cirus, and Hannah Montana, and the Jonas Brothers and things like that more often than I listen to things I wanna listen to,” Lewis told the British news outlet. Guitarist Mike Mushok quickly pointed out to him, though, “That’s because [of your] kids.” Still, Lewis admited, “Sometimes it takes me a while to change the channel. I’ll be driving a long and like 45 min. later I’ll be like, ‘Damn, the disney channel is still on!'” Hardcore Staind fans have been questioning the band’s sound since they were promised a return to their heavier sound with the release of The Illusion of Progress, only to find the band’s two most successful tracks on the album turn out to be the two most melodic, especially the band’s latest single ‘All I Want,’ which has already started to gain crossover play on many Adult Contemporary stations. Staind is currently on tour in Europe before they return to the US for a string of dates on the east coast.
