While it was rumored that his solo album would feed off of Staind lead singer Aaron Lewis’ country roots, the first single released basically confirms this is a full out country album from Lewis. Debuting the track called “Country Boy” online earlier this week, it doesn’t even take a full listen that this highly anticipated solo album from Aaron Lewis is going to sound nothing like Staind. Lewis hinted at the album’s country sound back in September when he announced dates for his solo tour, saying “It’s acoustic guitar based, I recorded it in Nashville with a bunch of country session musicians. So it’s kind of somewhere between Country, James Taylor, and ‘It’s Been Awhile.'” Judge for yourself and check out the video below. Lewis’ solo debut, ‘Town Line‘, is due out in February.
