Chester Bennington’s first band Band Grey Daze is set to release an album in his honor.
The Linkin Park frontman’s wife Talinda revealed in a Twitter post that Grey Daze plan to honor the late vocalist. Prior to the singer’s death in 2017, he and the band were planning a reunion, which unfortunately never happened.
“One of Chester’s greatest gifts was music,” she wrote. “The only thing he took more pride in was being a father to his children. Given how much he cared, he wanted fans to hear everything he did, and his musical journey started with Grey Daze.”
Talinda revealed that Bennington and the band were in the process of re-recording their music to release an album and eventually play a 20th anniversary reunion show.
“He was so enthusiastic about doing this, he was eager to play rock music and there were messages in those songs he knew would be meaningful to fans,” she wrote.
The new Grey Daze album will be released via Loma Vista Recordings, but the release date has not been disclosed yet.
