The Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows will team up for a summer North American tour. Dates and venues have yet to be announced, but the outing will begin in June and run through December, according to the Goo Goo Dolls’. The Goos’ new album, “Let Love In,” will be released April 25 on Warner Bros. First single “Stay With You” is hitting radio soon, but you can listen to it online below: Listen: “Stay With You” by The Goo Goo Dolls A video for the song is expected to be out soon. Counting Crows have played only a handful of shows in the past year and have not released a studio album since 2002’s “Hard Candy” (Geffen). The group will warm up for the summer tour with an April 22 one-off in Kansas City, Kan., as well as a late May appearance at the HFStival in Columbia, Md. “Things are brewing,” vocalist Adam Duritz writes on the band’s Web site. “We may even see the inside of a studio soon. Things are stirring. It may even be possible to get me out of my house. Kicking and screaming and being dragged… but out.” Duritz and Crows guitarist David Immergluck recently contributed to demos for a rapper named Notar, whom Duritz calls “one of the best lyricists I’ve heard in ages. Hopefully some lucky record company will see what we see and snap us all up.” Look for tour dates as they become available.
