The Indie Song of the Day comes from solo rock artist Love Under The Sun. We’re featuring his latest single “MBO.”
Born in Boston but based in Los Angeles Hot John Michael is Love Under The Sun. In a recent post on his Facebook, he explained what “MBO” was all about.
“This song is about my old friend Matt who passed away in 2016. “Trouble” we called him. He was only 20. We’d spent many summers at a dilapidated 4-H summer camp. Growing up. Getting into trouble. Annoying each other. Hitting each other. Lots of hitting…..hahaha. But there was always love there. We never stayed mad too long, it was difficult to say anything in anger when you can’t breathe from laughter. Anybody who knew him knew how fucking funny he was. He could roast me to my absolute core and I would still find myself laughing. And every word was effortless. And he was electric; you couldn’t help but be excited and engaged by him.” For more on Love Under The Sun, https://www.facebook.com/loveunderthesun
