Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard Performs New Song 'Life In Quarantine'
Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard performed a new song called “Life Under Quarantine,” which is actually a special message to his fellow Seattle citizens.
“The airports and train stations are full of desperate people / But no one is going anywhere soon,” Gibbard sings in the new song.
“I know this is a really f**ked up and scary time for everybody, including myself,” he said after the song. “And I know that we’re all trying to figure out what we can do to make it better, or what we can do to alleviate the suffering of someone else.”
Gibbard encouraged his fans to donate extra sleeping bags and tents to Aurora Commons, a welcoming Seattle space for unhoused people.
