The Indie Song of the Day comes from The Hawkeyes – A Pittsburgh-based rock act. The band released an album at the end of last year called Ever for After.
Ever for After features the lead single the band dropped last year called “John Q” – a tremendous rock track that will boost your spirits at the start of the week.
The Hawkeyes record their new album with Sean McDonald at Red Medicine Record Studio. Other Alternative Addiction favorites who have worked at the studio with McDonald include The Clarks and The Damnwells.
The Hawkeyes have been running as a band for a while now and they’ve logged thousands of miles tourinhg nationally for the past four years. They’ve shared stages with the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Marcy Playground, The Clarks, and Lit. They’re definitely a bit of a throwback band, but they fit in on Alternative Addiction perfectly.
You should definitely give the whole album a listen on Spotify or Apple Music, but for now – check out our single of the day, “Wanted Man.”
