Blink-182 is prepping the release of the follow-up to 2009’s Neighborhoods, which the band plans on releasing ahead of next year’s performance at the U.K.’s Reading and Leeds festivals. Mark Hoppus sat down with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 to dish on the band’s new plans. “We are coming with new material,” he said. “We go into the studio after the holidays, and the goal is to have an album out in time for the festival.” Blink was the first headlining act announced for the fests. Other announced acts include Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Of Mice and Men, Metronomy and I Am Legion. The fest still has two headliners in its pocket, and Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age have recently surfaced as possible candidates. Copyright(c) 2013 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
