Mayday Parade is excited to announce the release of a special anniversary edition of their debut EP “Tales Told By Dead Friends”, to release on Nov. 11. In addition to being remixed and remastered, the Tales Told By Dead Friends: Anniversary Edition will include a brand new studio track titled “The Problem With The Big Picture Is That It’s Hard To See.” The EP will be available as a limited edition 10″ featuring exclusive glow-in-the-dark deluxe packaging and a 12-page commemorative book, and will also be available digitally.
“When we started this band, we hoped we would be able to do this for a long time. It was a dream of ours since high school and what we spent our time focusing on. Now today we are getting to experience the 10-year anniversary of our Tales Told By Dead Friends EP that started it all,” bassist Jeremy Lenzo explains. “Of all the things to think about when starting a band, what we would do on our first album’s 10-year anniversary was something we never thought of, but it is something we all find very special now as we get to experience it. It is something that makes us remember the road we took to get us here and everything we’ve done to bring us to this point.”
On Nov. 11, the band will also kick off a two-week headline tour to honor the 10-year anniversary by playing the entire EP front to back in intimate venues, giving long-time Mayday Parade diehards a special experience.
Mayday Parade have had a busy summer tearing across the U.S. on the Main Stage of the Vans Warped Tour 2016, in support of new album Black Lines. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Rock Albums Chart, #1 on the Alternative Albums Chart, and is available now on iTunes. The band also recently performed alongside The Maine and Stephan Jenkins (Third Eye Blind) in the Alternative Press Music Awards 2016.
