Counting Crows have finally set a release date for their much delayed and anticipated new album “Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings” for March 25. The album will feature the hit song “Cowboys,” previously leaked on the web. The album was originally scheduled to be released on November 6th of 2007, but the album was pushed back to January by Adam Duritz because the band had let some things “fall through the cracks” between all the touring, traveling and the mixing and mastering of the new album. After the delay was announced, the album was expected to be released in January, now it appears the album has been delayed again and will finally hit stores in late March. The Counting Crows have leaked what is expected to be the first single on the album, a song called “Cowboys.” The album is supposed to be divided into two parts, the “Saturday” portion of the disc featuring more electric material, while the “Sunday” segment is more acoustic-based. The track listing has not been released yet, but the above track is expected to be the lead off single from the album and be featured on the Saturday portion.
