Almost 10 years after its initial release, Black Lab plans to re-release its debut record “Your Body Above Me,” digitally re-mastered with extensive liner notes, song-by-song commentary and two previously unreleased songs. Being called “Your Body Above Me: The Director’s Cut,” this version will include two additional minutes of music that was edited out of the original twelve songs, as well as twelve pages of never-before seen photos, and comprehensive lyrics. In 1997 Black Lab released this Geffen records debut to critical acclaim. They mesmerized modern-rock radio with the haunting singles “Wash It Away” and “Time Ago,” both Top-40 hits on alternative rock and pop formats. Over the years, this album has become a classic in so many fan’s music colloctions, but in the years that have followed, as the band fell apart and resurrected itself, getting in and out of internal battles and record deals, the album has become very difficult to find. The hopes this will give fans who missed this album the first time, a chance to hear exactly where Black Lab came from.
