King of Leon released a new single, “Going Nowhere,” and an accompanying video on Tuesday.
“Stay safe. Stay home. We will see you as soon as we can,” the band captioned the video.
The Casey McGrath-directed black-and-white visual, which was shot live in Nashville, shows Caleb Folloill sitting on the arm of a coach, with his back to the camera. He is shown performing the song on acoustic guitar.
The song is about the desire to be with someone while looking forward to better days.
“I’m going nowhere/If you’ve got the time/And it’s a long, hard road/’til I can get to you,” Followill sings. “And I’ll be holding on/Hoping the sun comes shining through.”
The band released their seventh studio album, Walls, in 2016. It included singles such as “Waste a Moment” and “Reverend.”
