A revamped version of Nirvana’s “Something in the Way” features in the recently released teaser for the upcoming movie The Batman.
“Something in the Way” was written by vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain. It is the 12th song on their second album, Nevermind, released in September 1991. The band also performed the track for their 1994 live LP, MTV Unplugged in New York.
“Underneath the bridge, the tarp has sprung a leak / And the animals I’ve trapped have all become my pets,” Cobain sings in the track.
The Batman, the reboot of the caped crusader’s franchise, is directed by Matt Reeves. The movie is currently set for release in October 2021. Michael Giacchino composed the score.
The movie stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role, and also features Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright and John Turturro, among others.
