A couple weeks removed from talking about the possibility of a Velvet Revolver reunion, former Scott Weiland is dissing another former band, the Stone Temple Pilots, who replaced him with Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington. Speaking with Chill, Scott noted that the band’s EP High Rise didn’t perform very well at all: “They made an album and it sold 35,000 units. That’s kind of unbelievable considering STP sold over 40 million . . . It didn’t work . . . People weren’t buying into it.” He also said he’s not looking for an STP reunion, but focusing on his new act, the Wildabouts: “There are memories I have that will always be close to my heart, but as far as will there ever be anything again with STP? It’s very hard to say. I’ve learned to never say never in this business, but at this juncture, I’m 100 percent focused on my band the Wildabouts, making a record with them, and being the leader of that band.” Copyright(c) 2014 RTTNews.com.
