The Suboxone Clinic in Waukesha, WI is a private addiction treatment center that offers both short term and long term services for heroin addicts. It was founded by Dr. Lauren Talatzko, a former addict and now a successful speaker and counselor. The goal of the clinic is to help people rid themselves permanently of heroin and provide them with an understanding of how to beat their addiction. As one of only a few clinics in the entire world devoted to addiction recovery and drug prevention, the Suboxone Clinic has received tremendous support from the local community and the national media. This support has enabled the clinic to expand its service offerings, while holding steadfast to its commitment to excellence and customer care.

One of the ways the Suboxone Clinics serves individuals who have overcome heroin addiction is through the Suboxone Assisted Therapy (SAAT) process. This program assists clients in removing themselves completely from the clutch of addiction, helping them do so without intervention by the attending physician. Through weekly therapy sessions, the staff at the Waukesha Womens Health and Counseling Center assesses each of the patient’s needs, including detoxification considerations, and develops individualized programs to address the unique requirements of each individual client. Clients can be detoxified at home, or at an outpatient facility that accepts Medi-Cal payments.

While it is understandable that addiction is a disease, it is not possible to cure it. However, by assisting those in need with the tools they need to become strong and healthy again, the Waukesha Womens Health and Counseling Center are committed to offering quality addiction treatment in a setting that empowers the individual. In a society that often views addiction as a moral failing, it is refreshing to see a clinic dedicated to providing a new way of thinking about and treating addiction, especially as it pertains to the most common of human diseases. The success of the clinic’s program speaks for itself; graduates of its Waukesha addiction treatment program have been offered jobs in addiction treatment by many reputable facilities throughout the country, as well as private companies. Those who leave the Waukesha Clinic with the skills to lead productive and successful lives are better able to help themselves while they are living, as well as others.
