Christian Changes Counseling Recovery Starkville MS 39759

Faith-based Christian changes counseling can be a good alternative to drug rehab in Starkville, MS. The Drug Abuse and Drug Rehabilitation (DACR) office at the Salvation Army was the first faith-based rehabilitation treatment facility in the state of Mississippi. It has been providing quality substance abuse treatment and related after-care services since 1965. The goals of the Drug Rehabilitation program are based on the principle that “if we cannot see it we can not help it,” that is why the majority of addicts began with drug or alcohol abuse before coming to the faith-based facility.

Faith-based drug rehabs are focused on meeting the unique needs of their clientele, offering a unique and effective drug and alcohol rehabilitation approach using the fundamental beliefs of the Christian faith community. Most substance abuse treatments focus on the biological factors underlying the addiction, however, the faith based drug rehab programs believe that spiritual and emotional issues are just as much or more important than the physical factors. Faith-based substance abuse programs try to make recovery a place where the patient feels comfortable and at home, surrounded by like minded individuals who share similar values and goals. It’s not unusual for individuals to stay in the program for up to 26 weeks.

As with all addiction, faith-based drug rehabs offer a variety of treatment options and stages of care. Drug abuse is a serious illness that can have very detrimental effects on an individual and their families. It can be treated effectively, but only when the proper atmosphere, tools and support are available. Alcoholism and other substance abuse should never be allowed to take control of a person’s life again.
