Since October

Life, Scars, Apologies
Artwork

Despite the very Salivaesque (made up word) album title, Since October’s follow-up album “Life, Scars, Apologies” is decent. Ben Graham remains the leader of the band with his unique lyrical style. The band’s songs aren’t altogether original but Graham’s style very much is. The good thing about this band is they’re not anywhere near the norm for this type of band. They’ve got a style that’s all their own and a style that’s come a long way since their last album “This is My Heart.” Unfortunately, their strength is also one of their weaknesses. Graham’s melody structures on the bands edgier songs are going to be hard for a lot of people to follow due to their jarring nature. Whether you like Graham’s vocals or not, if you’re looking for something original and something different from the world of modern rock you can look to these guys. They’re anything but the norm and they can win you over with any of these songs. It’s just hard to pick what one song that is.
