Jack Johnson

To The Sea
Artwork

Jack Johnson's latest album isn't his greatest album, and it's not a career defining piece of music. He's not exactly the type of artist that's gone through dramatic shifts in his music from the beginning of his career. Like his last effort, "Sleep Through the Static", "To the Sea" is less of the shows less of his acoustic side and more music featuring his band. It's a good album that's a great listen on a rainy day even though there's not much gloom- just peaceful and relaxing sounds. A slight change to the music is a more southern vibe on a couple of songs, but really there's nothing drastic. His last couple of albums haven't been as good as his work early on in his career but he continues to churn out decent releases.
